Toronto-born professor killed in Florida

A Toronto-born law professor has been killed in Florida.
Dan Markel taught at Florida State University and died in hospital over the weekend after being shot on Friday morning.
Tallahassee police said they’re treating the death as a homicide but there has been no word on arrests or a motive.
The father of two young boys was shot at his home in Tallahassee.
His body is expected to be repatriated to Canada while funeral arrangements are being made by his family in Toronto.
