GM recalls 50,000 vehicles in Canada

General Motors has issued six recalls that affect close to 50,000 vehicles in Canada and almost 718,000 vehicles in the U.S.

The main recall issued is for faulty seats in small cars and SUVs. Other issues are with turn signals, power steering, loose suspension bolts and faulty roof rack bolts.

The recalled vehicles include:

  • Chevrolet Malibu (2014)
  • Chevrolet Impala (2014)
  • Chevrolet Caprices, Chevrolet SS, Chevrolet Silverado LD and HD, Cadillac ATS, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac ELR, Buick Encore and GMC Sierra LD and HD (2013-14)
  • Buick Regal (2011-13)
  • Buick Regal and Buick LaCross (2011-12)
  • Chevy Camaro (2011-12)
  • Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain (2010-12)
  • Cadillac SRX (2010-12)

The latest recalls bring the total for GM so far this year to 60, affecting a record 29.7 million cars and trucks. GM already has passed the 22 million vehicles recalled by all automakers last year.
