Armed men at large after swarming in Scarborough plaza

Police are looking for four men accused of swarming people at gunpoint in a Scarborough plaza.

It happened around 1 a.m. Saturday on Silver Star Boulevard, near Finch and Midland avenues.

It’s alleged the men entered one of the businesses, ordered people to the ground and took their wallets and handbags. Witnesses said two of the men were armed with handguns.

No one was hurt.

The men fled and it’s not known which way they went.

They were wearing disguises and police only have descriptions of two of them. One is Asian, 24-28 years old, five-foot-eight and 130 pounds with a thin build and short, black hair. Another is Asian with a medium build.

Less than two hours later, a 29-year-old man was swarmed by a woman and two men near Carlton and Jarvis streets downtown.

He said the suspects, one armed with a knife, tripped him and took his cellphone and cash, before fleeing south on Jarvis.

He had minor injuries.

Police said they are looking for a black woman, who is 30 years old and six feet tall with black hair, as well as a white man, five-foot-two with black hair, and a black man, six-foot-two with black hair.
