Man struck and killed by streetcar near Yonge & St. Clair

A man is dead after he was struck by a streetcar on St. Clair Avenue West, near Yonge Street, police confirm.
The man, believed to be around 80 years old, was without vital signs when emergency crews arrived around 8 p.m.
He died later at hospital.
Traffic Services is investigating.
Streetcar service was halted in both directions between St. Clair and St. Clair West stations, but the TTC resumed service at around midnight.
No further details were immediately available.
